iTunes Gift Card Holder

Hello there everyone!  Oh my goodness...  I had a wonderful time at the bowling alley last night!  I will just leave it at that...  for now!  ;)  Anywho, this project is for my Joy's Life DT post...  Our challenge this week was to create a project using one of Joy's new stamp sets.  I absolutely love Joy's new stamps!  They are so cute, versatile, and great quality!  I used two of the new sets to create this project!  :)  I am so excited that my project incorporates music!!!  :)  I have an iPod that looks exactly like this (of course it's green)!  I don't know how to play any instruments but I LOVE music!!!!  If someone gave this to me with an iTunes card inside, I would be a very happy gal!  :)  I hope that when I give this to someone, they feel the same way...  :)

For the Fantabulous Cricut post click HERE!

Hello there everyone!  I am so excited that it's time for another challenge at Krafty Girls!  Yahoo!  The challenge this week is to create something for Mother's Day.  Believe it or not, I did not use the Cricut on this project!!!!!!  I know, I know...  It's shocking!  I like making my own patterned paper by stamping the image, embossing it, and then rubbing ink over the entire paper...  It's really fun, and I like the effect that it gives!  :)

Joy's Life Stamps- Everyday Occasions "happy", Holiday Occasions "Mother's Day"
Martha Stewart Butterfly Stamps
A la Mode- sparkle embossing powder

Happy Trails Camper Card

Hello there!!!  I am so glad that you decided to stop by!  :)  Today is another challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut!!!  The challenge this week is On the Go- create a project with some sort of transportation (bike, car, scooter, etc.).  I was "on the go" on Saturday night!  My friend, her sister, and I went to Buck Owen's Crystal Palace, which is about an hour from where I live.  It was soooo fun!  This is the same place that I went to for my 30th birthday in February.  Let me tell ya, it's my kind of place!  They have dancing, a live band playing country music (all my favorite songs), and yummy food!  It is just a great time!  I can't really line dance very well (despite my stint as a "professional" line dancing kid), but it's still fun to get out on the floor and try!  :)  Oh, and one of the band members kept blinding us with his guitar shine on purpose (and he would giggle each time), so...  I told the girls "Let's put our sunglasses on the next time he does that", and we did and he couldn't stop laughing on that stage!  I'll post some pictures at the bottom of this post, take a peek if you'd like!  hee hee...

Birthday Bash- card base cut at 4.41", square cut at 4.76"
Pack Your Bags- car/camper cut at 1.47"

**Now, as promised, here are the pictures of my little adventure...  Try as I may, I could not get rid of the red-eye on these pictures!!!!  Grrr.....

Me and my friend's sister, Rebekah.  That car (I think it's a Cadillac) is over the bar, and it's signed by a TON of famous country singers and such!  :)

Look, he's such a gentleman, he's holding my purse!  :)

My friend, Sarah, and I posing with Merle Haggard...

Me and George Strait!!!!  He's my favorite country singer....  I've always loved him!

Another one with George...  I just couldn't get enough of him!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you'll join us at Fantabulous Cricut!  :)

Sunflower Sweet Treat in a Tube

Hey there everyone!  I am so excited that it is finally Friday!!!!  YAY!  It must be Friday the 13th because my project today is not a card!!!  *gasp*!!!  :)  That's what can be so fun about challenges/design teams because sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone...  This project is another one for the Joy's Life DT...  The challenge was to create something using these clear tubes (which will be available on Joy's Life soon).  I really like these tubes, and the possibilties are just endless!  I love these candy coated sunflower seeds, so I decided to make my project around these little candies....  The sunflower makes me think of the country, so this has a very country feel to it!  :)  Hope you enjoy!

Earth Day Card

Hey everyone!  Hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday!  I am back at work today, after the nice 4-day weekend...  I can't believe how fast this year is going by (both, the calendar year and the school year)!  Soon I will have to say goodbye to these kiddos...  :(  Anywho, today is another challenge over at Krafty GirlsThe challenge this week is to create a project using something recycled or create an Earth Day project.  As I was making this card, I was thinking about how excited my students get about saving the Earth.  They love to talk about recycling and they pick up litter on the playground, etc.  Last year, one of my students would thrust his fist into the air and say "We're Going Green"!  It was so cute!  I couldn't find any Earth images on the Cricut, so I had to freehand the continents onto a circle and then color it myself...  Hope you like what I came up with!

Create a Critter- hearts cut at 5.35", .76", .41"
George and Basic Shapes- circle cut at 3.12"
Zooballoo- tree cut at 3.59"

Ruff Day Card

Hey everyone!   Today is my design team day over at Joy's Life....  Our challenge this week was to create a project with an animal on it.  I love dogs!  I also love Create a Critter!  So....  the idea for this card came to me pretty quickly!  I absolutely love the size of these sentiments!  I just want to give that little puppy a hug (the wrinkled chin just gets me)!  Today I'm going to the swapmeet and then to the movies, so it should be pretty fun (not a "ruff" day at all)!  :)

Bunny Easter Baskets

Hey everyone!!!!  Oh, I have been the worst blogger and bloggy friend!!!!  I have been really doing a lot to keep myself busy lately...  I am so glad that I have this beautiful 4-day weekend to unwind and catch up on some things that I have been neglecting (ex. my blog, house cleaning...).  Yesterday my mom, sister, and I drove all around my little town taking pictures of a family friend for her senior pictures.  Her family couldn't afford to get them professionally done, so we hooked her up with some really nice looking pictures.  We have a local park that has a lot of nice, big trees and a duck/goose pond (I had my senior pictures done there 12 years ago!), so we took pictures there (and several other places)...  It was actually really fun!!!  I have a lot of crafting to do today for my design team posts, so I can have tomorrow off and hopefully go to the local swapmeet in my town & possibly see "21 Jump Street" (that movie looks hilarious)!

Anywho, enough about me!  ;)  Here is a cute little Easter project that I have been doing for the last 7 years with all of my classes.  They always turn out so cute, and they are extremely easy to make!  I love how kids illustrate things, no adult can duplicate the whimsical details that they can capture!!!  The bunny on the right must have looked intimidating to my kiddos because they were calling it the "bully bunny".  It kind of does look like a bunny you wouldn't want to mess with!  :)  To make this I just trace the bunny outline on a white sandwich bag and have the kids cut it out.  Then you fold the sides down and staple the ears at the top.  I then put the Easter grass in there, and we cross our fingers that the Easter Bunny fills it with treats (and he did)!

Hope you have a great weekend!  Hopefully I can make it over to your blogs and leave you some love!  :)

Happy Easter Card

Hello everyone!!!  I am having so much fun making Easter/spring cards!  I didn't have my blog at this time last year, so I am excited to join in on the fun this time!  It's my design team day over at Joy's Life, and the challenge this week was to create a project for Easter.  I love these colors, and I just had to use a rabbit on at least one of my Easter cards, so this is what I came up with!  :)

Wild Card- scalloped card cut at 4.65"
Celebrate with Flourish- rabbit/grass cut at 3.35"
George and Basic Shapes- circle cut at 3.82"
Cuttlebug- d'vine swirls
Joy's Life Stamps- Holiday Occasions

That's it!  I love the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge!  You can make a really detailed card, and it doesn't require a ton of layering, etc...  Hope you enjoy, and thanks for hopping by on this fine spring day!!!  :)
