Father's Day Guitar Card

Hello!  I am so glad that I am on summer break!  It has allowed me to do some crafting, which I have been finding it hard to squeeze in lately...  I am also over halfway through my 6-unit class I'm taking, so vacation is about to really begin!!!  :)  The class has actually been really fun, so that's been nice...  The card I have for you today is for my Dad.  He truly is the best dad ever!!!  He also looks at my blog all the time, so "hi Dad"!  I also made this card for the new Krafty Girls challenge.  The challenge this week is:  Musically Inclined-  Make any project with a music theme.

A2 sized card
Hannah Montana- guitar cut at 1.71"
Joy's Life Stamps- Holiday Occasions & Everyday Occasions
Glossy Accents
Fishing line

I covered the entire blue part of the guitar with Glossy Accents, then I made strings out of fishing line.  Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to join us in the challenge over at Krafty Girls!

Thank You Card

Hey everyone!  Well I am officially on summer break now!  Woo hoo!!!!!!  It doesn't quite feel like it yet because I'm taking a class for the next two weeks, but it still feels nice!  :)  I am in desperate need of some thank you cards right now because I have had a lot of people helping me out lately...  I have decided to make the move from teaching 1st Grade to 2nd Grade!!!!  *biting off fingernails*  My principal was practically begging me, and I really love that grade level, so... I'm taking a leap of faith!  It was definitely not an easy decision, and it was quite bittersweet...  I'm ready for the change, but I didn't want to leave my comfort zone!  I shed a little tear when I left my old room for the last time...  Anywho, my friend Sarah will be the recipient of this card because she helped me pack up my old classroom, put everything away in my new room, and she's going to help me decorate the walls!  :)  AND this card meets the requirements of the new Krafty Girls challenge!  The challenge this week is:  Pinterest Inspired.  Make a card you were inspired to make by something you saw on Pinterest.  I think we can all safely say that Pinterest is addicting, and when I saw this card I knew I just had to make it myself!  Here we go...

Here was my inspiration... so cute!  I love the bakers twine wrapped around the letters!  This is from Weekly Scrapper.

Okay, here's what I came up with...

A2 sized card
Mini Monograms- scalloped circle cut at 5"
Doodletype- "thank" bold cut at 1.35", "you" cut at 1.24"
Bakers twine
A la Mode- sparkle embossing powder
Rhinestones

THANK YOU for stopping by, and I hope you'll join us over at Krafty Girls for the Pinterest inspired challenge!  :)

P.S.  Mom and Dad you will be getting a thank you card for all of your help too!

P.P.S.  Because of this challenge title, I can't get Chicago's "You're the Inspiration" out of my head now!  :)

You're Plum Terrific Card

Hello everyone!  Oh my goodness!  I have been gone for a really long time, and there is NO excuse for that!  It's the end of the school year, so there is a lot going on at work, and I'm getting ready for a vacation, etc.!  I have been really busy, but still...    I am super-duper excited that the Krafty Girls Challenge Blog is back in business!  And, guess what?  This is a card I made for their first challenge!  Woo hoo!  The challenge this week is:  Anything Goes.  For some reason, I have a more difficult time with that challenge.  I think there are too many possibilities, and I have to try and narrow them down!  :)  This card is going to be given to my friend Shelly, because she is terrific, and she needs a bit of a pick-me-up right now...  Onto the card!
