Thank You Card

Hey everyone!  Well I am officially on summer break now!  Woo hoo!!!!!!  It doesn't quite feel like it yet because I'm taking a class for the next two weeks, but it still feels nice!  :)  I am in desperate need of some thank you cards right now because I have had a lot of people helping me out lately...  I have decided to make the move from teaching 1st Grade to 2nd Grade!!!!  *biting off fingernails*  My principal was practically begging me, and I really love that grade level, so... I'm taking a leap of faith!  It was definitely not an easy decision, and it was quite bittersweet...  I'm ready for the change, but I didn't want to leave my comfort zone!  I shed a little tear when I left my old room for the last time...  Anywho, my friend Sarah will be the recipient of this card because she helped me pack up my old classroom, put everything away in my new room, and she's going to help me decorate the walls!  :)  AND this card meets the requirements of the new Krafty Girls challenge!  The challenge this week is:  Pinterest Inspired.  Make a card you were inspired to make by something you saw on Pinterest.  I think we can all safely say that Pinterest is addicting, and when I saw this card I knew I just had to make it myself!  Here we go...

http://www.weeklyscrapper.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/113.jpeg
Here was my inspiration... so cute!  I love the bakers twine wrapped around the letters!  This is from Weekly Scrapper.

Okay, here's what I came up with...

A2 sized card
Mini Monograms- scalloped circle cut at 5"
Doodletype- "thank" bold cut at 1.35", "you" cut at 1.24"
Bakers twine
A la Mode- sparkle embossing powder
Rhinestones

THANK YOU for stopping by, and I hope you'll join us over at Krafty Girls for the Pinterest inspired challenge!  :)

P.S.  Mom and Dad you will be getting a thank you card for all of your help too!

P.P.S.  Because of this challenge title, I can't get Chicago's "You're the Inspiration" out of my head now!  :)

Hello!  Hope everyone is enjoying this summer heat (I'm trying)!  The weekend here was actually quite enjoyable, but I know more yucky heat is heading this way!  I just try to stay inside of air conditioned dwellings during this time... :)  Sunday I went to the theater (one of my favorite places in the summer) and watched the movie "Brave" and today I am going to have lunch with some friends.  YAY!  This week at Joy's Life we were asked to make a project that uses summer colors: orange, yellow, and turquoise.  I just can't get mixed drinks out of my head right now...  Not sure why!  :)  I guess this could also be lemonade... Between yesterday's card and today's, I need to have a BBQ really soon!

Thanks a Latte Card

Hello everyone!!!  I am so excited to be a Guest Designer over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!  :)  This is one of my favorite challenge blogs because they want you to use a Cricut cut on each project...  That is right up my alley because I use the Cricut on almost every single thing I make!  :)  The challenge this week is to use lace or ribbon on your project (along with at least one Cricut cut).  This card is going to be given to my friend Devi from Diddles & Dumplings because she did this amazing bloggy makeover for me, and I couldn't love it more!  I wish I could give her a "latte" more than this card, but she knows it was made with tons of love!  :)  I hope you will all join in the challenge this week over at FCCB...

Be sure to enter my GIVEAWAY!!!!  :)

Thank You Card- 365 Cards Guest Designer!!!

Hello everyone!  I am so excited!!!  I was asked to be a guest designer at 365 Cards for the month of July!!!!  I will be creating cards every Sunday this month using sketches (Super Sketchy Sundays)....  This is just too exciting!!!  :)  Here is the sketch and my card....

This is another completely Cricut-less card!!! *GASP*!  I know, I know....  I usually never make a project without the Cricut, but I found these cute K & Company stickers and just had to use them.  The front of this card measures 4 1/4" x  4 1/4".  The stamp is from Inkadinkado- Thank You Words set.  The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Salt Air mini deck.  I used my 1.5" circle punch on the sentiment.  That's it!  Pretty simple!!!  Hope you likey, and I am so excited about being a GD at 365 cards!!!! :)

Stinkin' Sweet Thank You Card

Hello there!  I made this card to enter into some challenges, and I love the way it turned out!  I am actually going to be giving this to my parents.  They paid for the hotel rooms in Vegas and I think that was awesome of them!  :)  Okay, onto the card...  I came up with the sentiment all by myself!  I was cracking up, the skunk's stinkin' and the lollipop is sweet!  It's just too punny!  :)  I was also laughing at how difficult it was for me to take a picture of a circular card....  It kept rolling all over the place! :)  Hee hee....

Peachy Keen LFIF-  use patterned paper & a PK face
More than Favors-  use Wild Card cartridge

Thank You Card (Imagine)

Howdy folks!  As I stated before, I have officially finished another school year and I wanted to make a thank you card for my aide.  She was so helpful to me this year and she never complained about any task I had her help me with.  :)  She is awesome and needed a nice thanks!  I made this card using the Cricut Imagine.  The machine belongs to my friend Sarah and so far she only has the Imagine More cartridge, so that is what I used.  This cartridge has a card that is already made and an evelope too!  It was really nice to have a quick and easy option like that.  The card was cut at 6.2", the envelope was 9.0", and the rectangle and sun were cut at 2.0".  The sentiment originally said "good times" (or something like that), so I had each layer print individually and I deleted that phrase.  That gave me the option of adding my own sentiment, and I used the Inkadinkado Thank You Words stamp set.  Then I used Glossy Accents on the sun and stamp and VOILA it was done!  Hope you likey!!!!
