Halloween Hand Sanitizer

Hello everyone!  Well last weekend and this week were very busy, so this weekend I am taking it easy!  Yesterday I cleaned my house, and today I am going up to my parent's house for a nice dinner!  You need weekends like this every now and then...  :)  Anywho, it's another DT day over at Joy's Life.  This week we were asked to make 3D projects.  I saw this idea for a hand sanitizer box on Pinterest.  I think it is the cutest darn thing, and it was actually really easy to make!  :)  You can click HERE for instructions on how to make it.

I am obsessed with hand sanitizer, so I know I would love getting this from a friend.  I know my teacher friends feel the same way about hand sanitizer, so they may be getting one of these little cuties in the near future...  :)  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!  :)

I wanted to make something that could hold some candy, or Post-its, etc...  I found this cute little treat bag on Mini Monsters and I just had to use it (I love the little arms)!!!  :)

Warts Up Halloween Treat

Hello there!!!!  I have been so busy, and I also got to actually talk on the phone to the that guy in Korea!  He called me on Thursday, and he said that I need to have an adventure and come to Korea!!!!  I actually really want to do it, but the plane tickets are so expensive!  My family and friends are telling me that I would be crazy not to do it...  I think it would be really exciting and fun!  :)  Anywho, I am so excited that tomorrow is the first day of October!!!!  I LOVE Halloween!  My students at school are already getting excited too...  All month long we dance to my favorite Halloween music, they get to dress up on that day, I read all my favorite Halloween books to them, etc...!!!  This week at Joy's Life, we were asked to create a Halloween treat project.  When I was at Target one day, my niece helped me find the perfect candy to use on this project.  It is so creepy and disgusting!  :)  Best of all, the candy has no dairy in it, so my niece can eat some of it...  Okay, here's my Halloween treat...

Hello Sweetie Tin

Hello!  I have had such a fun week!  My friends and I went to Los Angeles on Wednesday and watched a live taping of Chelsea Lately!!!!!  I love seeing how shows/movies are made, so it was a total blast!  The interview guest was Lionel Richie!  I love his music and it was so cool seeing him in person...  We also got to see Kate Beckinsale interviewed, but that won't air until August.  My friend Ernesto caught one of the stress balls that Chuy throws out into the audience!  We had so much fun!!!!
Today is another DT day for me at Joy's Life.  The challenge this week was to create a project using these adorable metal tins.  Joy sells these on her website, along with all of her amazing stamp sets!!!  These tins come in a pack of 3, and I can see TONS of possibilities for them!  I'm thinking baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, stocking stuffers, Valentine's Day, etc...!  The one I made would be great as a "just because" gift for someone...

Joy's Life- metal tin
Pink circle- 2" circle punch (it fits perfectly)!
Candies are cut out from some patterned paper

Well, hope you enjoyed it!  Thanks for being so SWEET and stopping by!  :)

Homemade Bubble Bath

Hello and Happy July!  This summer is just flyin' by!  Hope you're enjoying it!  The challenge this week at Joy's Life was to create a 3D project (a.k.a. no cards or scrapbook LOs)...  As you know, I love to make cards, so this was pretty challenging!  I sat and thought about what I could make, and when I saw this sentiment, I knew right away that I wanted to make homemade bubble bath...  I have a lot of friends and family who love taking baths (I'm more of a shower kind of girl), so I know that I can definitely find someone to give this to.  I made a pretty big bottle, but this could be scaled back into smaller containers and even given away as party favors (I'm thinking baby showers, bridal showers, etc.)!  It smells sooo good and I got it all over my hands and they are really soft now!  :)  It is also really inexpensive because it uses such simple ingredients.  At the bottom of this post I have shared the formula for making your own bubble bath!

George and Basic Shapes- ovals cut at 2.13 x 3", 1.87 x 2.76"
Joy's Life Stamps- Tag You're It Set Two
Ribbon & Twine
Patterned Paper (band around is 12" x 3")
Bottle (I got mine from Cost Plus World Market)
Homemade bubble bath

Raspberry/Vanilla Bubble Bath

I got this formula from This Time, This Space.  They have a lot of different variations on their website.  *I couldn't find raspberry fragrance oil, so I used almond & vanilla and it smells wonderful!

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. unscented liquid soap
  • 2 oz. distilled water
  • 8 drops vanilla fragrance oil
  • 6 drops raspberry fragrance oil
Directions: Mix all and pour into a container.
Pour a tablespoon or more in running water for your bath.

Sunflower Sweet Treat in a Tube

Hey there everyone!  I am so excited that it is finally Friday!!!!  YAY!  It must be Friday the 13th because my project today is not a card!!!  *gasp*!!!  :)  That's what can be so fun about challenges/design teams because sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone...  This project is another one for the Joy's Life DT...  The challenge was to create something using these clear tubes (which will be available on Joy's Life soon).  I really like these tubes, and the possibilties are just endless!  I love these candy coated sunflower seeds, so I decided to make my project around these little candies....  The sunflower makes me think of the country, so this has a very country feel to it!  :)  Hope you enjoy!

Conversation Hearts Valentine Coupons

Hello everyone!!!  I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day yesterday!  My day was wonderful!  My students were so adorable, and they could hardly wait until after lunch to pass our their Valentines!  They kept asking me all day if it was time...  They showered me with gifts, and I felt really spoiled!!!  One of my kids said that "I spoil them, and they spoil me"!  How cute!  :)  I then went up to my parents and had a nice dinner with my family....  Can't complain about that!

Yesterday I was doing a candy heart graphing activity with my students and the idea for this Valentine popped into my head!  It was like a beautiful candy lightbulb going off over my head, and I don't care that Valentine's Day is over, I had to make it!!!! :)  On the back of the little hearts I would write down little love notes, or coupons that you can give to your sweetie!  For example, I would write "good for one movie night of your choice", etc....  Hope you enjoy!!!

The challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut today is to make something with a wedding theme, and you had to include the color white and a bell.  I decided to make something different this time (seeing as I always make cards), so I made a favor box.  I wanted to incorporate the color green somehow and a really cute striped paper that I have.  I kept this very simple and elegant.  Hope you enjoy!
