Retirement Cards!

Hello everyone!  Well, another school year is about to come to an end (only 18 school days left), and with it there are sometimes many changes.  Our school is "losing" two awesome teachers, as they begin their journey into retirement!  Now... I love my job... but, I can't help but feel a bit envious over their new freedom!  On another note one of the retiring teachers, Jan, is the one who sold me her "barely used" Cricut Explore Air!!!!  I am in love with the possibilities of this new machine, but also overwhelmed with how to use Design Space, etc.  I was so used to my Gypsy and my Cricut Expression that now it seems to take me forever to cut anything.  I know I'll get used to it, and I do love what this baby can do!  :)  Anywho, I was asked to make their retirement cards and these little beauties are what I came up with...  Hope you enjoy!

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge- anything goes
Pile it On- garden creatures
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- things with wings
PDE Linky Party- anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door- anything goes

Country Life- strawberry, flowers
Walk in My Garden- stems
Create a Critter- bee
Cuttlebug- swiss dots, wood grain
Peachy Keen Stamps- The Moodies Face Assortment
My Craft Spot stamps- Jar Basics (mason jar)
Scrappy Mom Stamps- Filled With Love

Embossing powder/VersaMark Ink
Transparency film (for an overhead projector)

Everyone seems to really be enjoying these cards, and we can't wait to show them to our two retiring friends!  They will be missed, but we're excited for them!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Bee-U-Tiful Birthday Card for Grandma!

Hello everyone!!!!  I'm still here, ha ha!  It's been so hard for me to post, but I have made a lot of things, taken pictures of all of them, AND wrote down the directions for making them...  they've just never been posted...  So much has been happening, especially seeing as it's been a year since I posted last!  One big thing that my husband and I did was move.  It's still in my same little town, but we are in love with our new house!  We hope it will be our forever home, but it was still a little bittersweet to let the old house go.  It's also been weird crafting in a new space, but I think I've got the hang of it!  I told my hubby that I really, REALLY want to start crafting more and posting on my blog again!  Hopefully he'll let me slip away from his side occasionally, so that I can accomplish that goal!  :)  Anywho, it felt really good to make this card and find some challenges that I can enter it into, so here it goes...

Get Well Soon Card for Mom

Hello everyone!  I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday!!!  Woo hoo!  I am also relieved because my mom went in for surgery today and it went very well!  Her surgery took place about 45 minutes away, so my sister, niece and I are going to drive up there tomorrow to visit her in the hospital.  She had to have surgery on her knee (I believe it was a complete knee replacement)...  Luckily my dad was able to be there for her (check her in, wait with her, see her when the surgery was done)...  I whipped up this little beauty to give to her, and I had to incorporate crutches since that is how she will be getting around for a while!

Celebrate the Occasion- any occasion (must be circle shaped)
Paper Playtime- anything goes

Mini Monograms- card base cut at 5.47"
Walk in My Garden- flowers cut at 1.47", 1", 0.76" (I just layered them on top of each other)
George and Basic Shapes- plaid circle cut at 4.06", green circle cut at 3.47"
Everyday Paper Dolls- crutches cut at 5.59"
My Pink Stamper Stamps- Spectacular Sayings
Button brads
White gel pen

There it is!  I kept this one nice and simple...  I wanted it to have a cheerful feel...  My niece also wanted to make a card for "gagga".  She came up with all of the colors, cuts, sizes, and the sentiment inside.  She even used the Cuttlebug all by herself (well, kind of by herself)!  We wanted to see what this little Kindergartener would come up with, and the result is so cute!  Here is a picture of what she created....  :)

Enjoy!  :)

Father's Day Card

I am so excited to enter another card in a challenge!  I made this Father's Day card to enter into a few challenges, but I will also be giving it to my dad...  Talk about a win-win!!!  My dad loves punny stuff so I knew I had to do something that would make him laugh!  The paper I used is also one of my favorite paper packs ever!!!  Can't ya tell I'm just so excited! :)  Okay, okay onto the challenges....

** I am also going to link this up to Craft Junkie Too's T.G.I.F. linking party (even though I posted this on Tuesday)
